Yes Diggity brought a ton of energy to the stage and continued to crack up both the audience and themselves as the show progressed. Many of these players are on teams all over the city and bring years of experience and a ton of talent to this Incubator Playground team. This specific evening, they took us on a journey through intercourse at Jiffy Lube, a movie theater, a lingerie shop, Wolf Lodge in Vail and special appearances were made by Jesus Christ, G.E. On Sunday nights, ComedySportz has been hosting a selective gathering of improvisers that many are unaware of. Alumni of the Chicago Improv Tournament (CIT), an annual national collegiate-level improv tournament hosted by Chicago Improv Productions (CIP), have united, formed powerhouse improv teams and have been competing against one another for the past four months. Thanks to Aren Zolninger from Chicago Improv Productions, I was able to sneak in a few minutes to interview Scott Adsit and John Lutz before they took the stage for their “Super Secret” midnight show at Stage 773. As we were waiting for the show ahead of us to clear out, Scott, John and I stepped into a back hallway with CIP staff and a couple photographers and shared a few words about working on 30Rock, life lessons and everyone’s favorite funny lady, Ms. Tina Fey.
