The Masterminds Behind Chicago Women’s Funny Festival Chicago boasts of funny women all day long. However, from June 5th through June 8th there will be an influx of comediennes flowing in and out of the doors to Stage 773 for The 3rd Annual Chicago Women’s Funny Festival (CWFF). I spoke with Executive Producer, Jill Valentine, and Associate Producer, Liz McArthur, to learn a bit more about what to expect at this year’s fest.

Everything I Ever Wanted. To Kill An Angry Bird was everything I’d ever want in a sketch show. Annie Goodson (Writer/Director) and Willie Opper (Writer/Producer) hit the nail on the head with this intricate portrayal of human evolution and unfortunate flaws in our modern culture.

Chicago Director Recognized Today it was announced that Matt Miller, Second City Training Center faculty and director of the Chicago-based “Teachers” web series, has signed on with Cap Gun Collective for U.S. representation. Miller joins Abteen Bagheri, Docter Twins, Alex Fendrich, Tom Haines, Tomas Mankovsky, Jeppe Rønde, Michael Sewandono and Spooner/Bonde on the U.S. roster.
